These courses are offered on ground for the traditional campus experience

A focused study of the assessment of human character and performance. Standardized testing instruments will be studied and evaluated. Emphasis on interpretation of tests along with their validity and reliability will be discussed. Instruction in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of assessment tools will also be provided. The testing instruments studied will included a focus on intelligence, personality, achievement, aptitude, and vocational testing. Other tests will also be explored.

Study of basic sentence structure, conventional usage, and construction of logical thought units, including practice in writing essays.


Course EN 130 and EN 131 are designed to be taken consecutively. They are part of the core curriculum and are recommended to all entering students as a fundamental means to achieving effective writing. The course series is designed to help students gain control over their thinking and writing skills. EN 131 assumes students understand and will write in grammatically correct ways. The intent is that students will learn to write appropriately for given audiences. This includes college-level research—an introduction to information literacy and research methods which will guide the student through the complexities of organizing and drafting a research paper to become an information-literate student.


An introductory survey of issues pertaining to Christian leadership designed to help students understand their role as Christian leaders by exploring various aspects of leadership in the church and marketplace. The course provides an overview of leadership in the Bible, discipleship, worship, self-understanding and principles for becoming a leader.

This course focuses on how values, attitudes, and beliefs influence communication among people from different cultural backgrounds.

The ability to recognize and utilize persuasive communication and critically analyze persuasive message strategies is important in a wide variety of professional, organizational, social and mediated contexts. This course examines the application of persuasive theories and principles underlying attitude change in various communication situations.
