I am most interested in Deborah because she is the only one called a prophet but also the only female judge. She is kind of a powerful, yet small, woman figure as she denies Barak any glory resulting from the battle saying: “Very well,” she replied, “I will go with you. But you will receive no honor in this venture, for the Lord’s victory over Sisera will be at the hands of a woman.” So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh.” Judges 4:9 NLT. If Deborah would not have encouraged or inspired that attack, the Israelites would have never defeated the Cannnanites. From that day on Israel became stronger and stronger again it king Jabin until they finally destroyed him. Deborah had a major impact on Israel and history during that time and that is why I admire her so much.
This is a great choice and definitely one I debated as being my favorite. It is so incredible to read the story of Deborah. Deborah's impact was one that was definitely inspiring and incredible and I love the fact that she was so bold. She was the only woman that was a judge and she did not let that intimidate her or make her less bold, rather she stepped out and was strong and courageous and stood up for herself. What do you think we can take with us from Deborah's leadership and apply to our own lives to be bold?
When Deborah first tells Barak that the Lord's victory over Sisera will be at the hands of a woman, it seems as though she's saying the victory will be at her hands because she is leading the battle. However, her words have a double meaning. What other woman participated in the Lord's victory over Sisera?
It's almost as if God is making his point twice.

I totally agree, Deborah was by far the most interesting judge. She was a game changer and she also made great history being a woman in power
I feel like this is a very good choice as well because is a very empowering woman in the Bible and you don’t see much of those anymore. If it was not for her she would not be getting theses victories under her belt and that is very inspiring for someone in the Bible. I do feel like she is someone to look up to because she is a strong women just like rosa parks and that is a very good comparing to tell to people.
This, in my opinion, is a really wise decision because the Bible contains few examples of strong, independent women today. She wouldn't have these triumphs under her belt without her, and it is tremendously motivating for a person in the Bible. it was inspiring reading her story.
