After reading the Bible story through in such a short amount of time, what stood out to you or struck you that you had not thought of before?

One aspect that I had never really considered before was the overlap of the lives of these men and women. Reading through the Bible in this format helped me to see the connectivity of the historical and cultural contexts. I've done chronilogical reading plans before, but for whatever reason I didn't grasp the breadth of the connections.

Of the 5 directions for practicing humble interpretation of Scripture, which one do you find the most difficult to put into practice?

This might seem weird, but I've rarely had the opportunity to talk about my faith as an adult. My work prohibits me from being more than a neutral party. And I grew up with a family culture that we simply believed without questioning or discussing what we believed. I think that embracing conversations of faith where people have divergent perspectives was always viewed as causing division of the church and to be avoided. As someone who is now shepherding people to take next steps with God, I think this is an area that I need to pray about more, to study, and to be ready to embrace those conversations with both the humility and grace which God so freely shared with all of us.
