After reading the Bible story through in such a short amount of time, what stood out to you or struck you that you had not thought of before?
This is a great question. The biggest take away for me was how important the Old Testament is. I've spent most of my time reading the New Testament most of my life but reading thought the old testament in chronological order was very helpful. It helped me to better understand the setup for why we needed Jesus but also the grace God continued to show His people despite them continually turning away from Him.
Of the 5 directions for practicing humble interpretation of Scripture, which one do you find the most difficult to put into practice?
The practice of humble interpretation of Scripture that I find the most difficult to put into practice is not going beyond authority of Scripture. I think it's so easy to speculate as to what the bible is trying to say, especially if it's poetic in nature. I'm hoping to keep that at the forefront of my mind as I discuss scripture and biblical principals with others.
