After listening to the lecture, share your thoughts on the following:
What does the phrase "Theologized History" mean? How does viewing the narrative parts of the Bible in this way change how we interpret them? The phrase Theoloqized History is understanding the scripture through the church of the past, understanding their setting and accounts in order to interpret scripture for us. Viewing scripture through this lens allows us to understand how it was meant to be read or heard and ultimately applied. By doing so we are able to give a closer accurate interpretation for us to apply to our culture.
Which of the characteristics or principles of biblical letters was new to you? How does that principle inform your understanding of these letters? Feel a bit strange here, but having been around Bible studies and books for a bit I can't say that too much has been new to me through this particular experience but have valued deeply the refreshment.
