COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERVIEW
This course involves synthesizing various components of the leadership and ministry program while emphasizing the principles and applications of ministry. Students will integrate learning from all course work to solve complex problems, engage in dilemmas that incorporate biblical principles, and prepare for future ministry.
COURSE OBJECTIVES (COGNITIVE)
Upon completion of this course, each student should be able to:
Develop a comprehensive perspective of the values and ministries of a local church or para-church ministry.
Identify a ministry problem or opportunity the local church or para-church ministry could address.
Explain the biblical basis for addressing the problem or opportunity.
Develop a strategic plan that addresses the ministry problem or opportunity.
Demonstrate the ability to articulate the strategic plan to stakeholders.
COURSE GOALS (MINDSET)
Upon completion of this course, each student should have an opportunity to:
Value the ministries of a local church or para-church ministry.
Understand the problems and opportunities facing the ministry and its community.
Demonstrate the ability to biblically respond to the problem or opportunity.
Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and develop plans accordingly.
Demonstrate the ability to present the strategic plan in multiple venues.
