-WHAT ASPECT OF BIBLICAL INSPIRATION IS MOST DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND OR EXPLAIN?
*The Interpretation part. Only because I personally have the most questions in that part of this 3500+ year process. Understanding the process is helpful, but like many Christ-followers, I don’t feel like I have proficient understanding of those that were chosen or those that took it upon themselves to make some of these decisions.
-DO THE NUMBER AND CONSISTENCY OF THE BIBLICAL MANUSCRIPTS GIVE YOU CONFIDENCE IN THE BIBLE? WHY OR WHY NOT?
*Absolutely it gives me confidence! This is the one area that helped me early on as a new Christ-follower. Hearing this simple data and historical record of the consistencies in the copies and early translations made sense to me. Knowing that these processes could have strayed far away, yet they did not, helped check that mental box. It’s one of the areas that over the years I’ve wondered why more people that try to dispute the authenticity of Scripture don’t cling too!
-WHICH TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE DO YOU PREFER AND WHY?
*For about a decade I have solely used the ESV. I find it to be a healthy balance between literal translation and summarized translation. I did receive a early copy of the Contemporary English Version (CEV) and I have found that to be very easy to read and understand as well!
